Neoplan Metroliners

 

God, how I loved these buses! I just wish we had them at Ross. I did get to drive them at Collier, and It's like driving a cross between a Cadillac, and a Corvette. Fast, as buses go, and very comfortable.

It's fast due to the engine. These coachs are equipped with the Detroit Diesel serie 60. Couple that with a Allison 5 speed automatic, and this wil pull away from a red light like its tail is on fire!

I got to sneak one of these out for a evening 31D, and on a Saturday 100. What a ball! Every driver I know who drives them loves them. Some pick runs they know get assigned these buses.

Lets take a look at a few...

Driver comfort all the way, with that USSC seat, and the positioning of the controls. The green button on the left of the dash is to open the door.

This is the area where the passengers sit. Thes have all the luxury of a tour bus, except the VCRs and the bathroom.

Here is 1909 up in Oakland coming off the 33X or maybe the 28X? I love the powder blue on this one...

A driver waits patiently for the light to turn, the bus is 1907...This one seems to have missed the paint gun.
