Welcome to Bus Land
This page is going to reflect on the buses of the late 80's up to today. Strictly from PAT ( Port Authority or GOLD ) however you want to describe it is fine. But here you will find the hodge-podge of buses that are here for your viewing pleasure. Keep Checking this page as more will be added as time permits. You can also check the individual pages for the manufactuer as well!

Neoplan Low Floor Coach 5143 at the Port Authority Rodeo sporting the latest
fashion trend for a bus...A bike rack. It is part of the companies "Rack N
Roll" idea.

Neoplan 3806 sitting at Franklin and School street in Aliquippa, on the
16A.

Port Authority painted 3901 in this neat looking scheme. Bus is sitting
at Castle Shannon on 46S. Neither the route or the bus exist today. This was
a Ross Division bus lent to West Mifflin Division.

Port Authority used Orion 2247 to display the experimental Twin Vision
Headsign. This sign is well recieved by operators and the public alike. Would
be nice to see them on every coach in the fleet. Rumor has it the new LRV's
will have these.

3909 awaiting its fate at the repair row at Collier garage. See the front
cover down and tow hooks installed. Its the end of the line for her. Nimco
awaits.

This is the engine in one of our Flxibles. Excuse the dirt, but it is hard
to keep them clean in the winter. The engine is a Detroit Diesel Series 50.

Interesting shot of two Flxibles, one in the old colors, and one in Gold.
these are coaches 2418 and 2403, shot on the apron at Collier Division.

A Flxible Metro, Collier 2496 in a rare location on Mt. Washington. Rare because we always only run 35' Orions there. This was a brand new bus posing for its "publicity shot".

Ikarus articulated coach 3032 on Smithfield St. It is on the EBA Route. 3032 now wears the purple color scheme, and was the first Ikarus artic to do so. Looks a lot better in the new colors. Seems as though most of the buses do, either that, or I am just tired of the red, white, and black.

Nova Classic #2653 sitting at Collier waiting on washer fluid.

Neoplan "shorty" 1606 in the Collier garage waiting on its next operator
to take her out.

Three Neoplan Artics sitting at Harmar Division.

Freshly painted Orion, number 2069 completely bare of anything, sitting
just outside of the paint booth at the Manchester main shop.

Delivery day for one of our new Neoplan Metroliners. These babies are 45'
long, and plenty of DD 60 power. Photo at manchester shops.

Freshly painted purple Flxible, number 2341.

Orion 2105 waiting at a traffic light in town.

Pennliner 3530 arriving at a stop. Any guesses as to the location?

Neoplan 3730 laying over in Brookline.

3932 sitting on row 23 at Ross. It sat here for a LONG time doubling as
a dust collector.
Shorty Neoplan 1603 parked at Kennedy Center on the 21C West Park.

Here is something that you don't see much anymore... Pennliner 3817 all
dolled up in its Christmas attire. Shot at the South Hills Rail Center. (Wonder
it the sleigh made it through the transit tunnel)
More ahead!
